SQL Server Requirements

Microsoft SQL 2005 SP2+ or SQL 2008 SP1+ Standard Edition or better

x86 or x64 based on OS Installation

MUST be installed as the 'DEFAULT' instance of SQL

MUST use 'Mixed Mode' security

Firewalls MUST have ports 1433 and 4992 (TCP and UDP) open

Virtual Machines supported only with I-SCSI or similar direct hard drive access (info)
