Installing SedonaOffice on a Workstation
1. Navigate over the network to the “SedonaOffice Installation Files”
folder located on the SQL Server, we do not keep a record of the server’s name.
The best way to navigate to the SQL Server is via “Start” then “Run”, enter
“\\THE NAME OF YOUR SQL SERVER” then press enter.
Navigating to the SQL Server via ‘Network Neighborhood’ is acceptable also.

All the files referenced here should be run ‘directly’ from the shared folder,
you should NOT copy them to the workstation. If you must copy the installation
files to the workstation, make sure you copy 'sedonasetup.ini' also.
2. In the shared folder, run “SOClient 5.x.exe”. The ‘X’ portion of the file
name may vary from customer to customer and is irrelevant.

Follow the on-screen instruction while installing the client
If the installer tells you that a file is in-use click on ‘Cancel’, the
installer will continue.
3. When complete, the installer may ask to reboot, allow it to reboot the
system.
4. After workstation is rebooted if necessary, navigate back to the
“SedonaOffice Installation Files” folder located on the SQL Server.
You now need to run the latest update located in the same shared folder. The
update files are named according to their version. If the folder has multiple
update files, you only need to run the current version the other workstations
are using.
If you are on SedonaOffice version 5.6.0.37 then the update file will be call
‘SedonaOffice_Update_56037_Rev_X.exe’. The ‘X’ portion of the file name may vary
from customer to customer and is irrelevant.

Run the update directly from the shared folder whenever possible. This allows
future updates to be loaded from the server instead of the internet.
5. After the update is started, if required, it will ask to download and
install .Net 4 from Microsoft. This is now a requirement of SedonaOffice for
versions 5.6 and newer, you must allow it to be installed to continue the
update.

Follow the on-screen instructions while applying the update.

Once the update is finished, you should be able to log into SedonaOffice from
the desktop shortcut.
